Before the Great Rift and arrival of Lyons, long before all other Lyonsouls existed in Cormanthor Forest, before the land was named Lyons Forest, residents of these parts in woods were Wild Elves, the green elves of Greenleaf Tribe. Worshipers of Seldarine, of nature aspects of elven pantheon, mainly focused on Rillifane Rallathil that they refer to as Leaf Lord, Greenleaf tribe was dominant upon today called Lyonland for thousands of years. They were in war against dark elves that came on surface, but were able to keep the wilds like they planed until the day when Great Rift happened and when First Great Forest War ended. When crystals fell from the sky upon their land, they killed many wild elves, reducing the number of Greenleaf Tribe members greatly. It was a terrible tragedy for the strong wild elf tribe, but they are survivors of the wilds, and so their tribe was able to survive with dozens of members. Wood sisters that arrived from the Fae were able to grant peace to them, and eventually shared the vision of Lyons Arrival with them. Wood sisters and Greenleaf tribe joined together to heal the wounded land, and this part of the forest was named Lyons Forest. After hundreds of years, Dark Elves together with Hag Coven of Nightmares joined and attacked Lyons Forest. It was during Lyons Wedding. Greenleaf tribe was brought to extinction. It is unknown how many live today, and running onto a true elf of Greenleaf Tribe became a lifetime opportunity. Survivors of Greenleaf Tribe are now under protection of Lyons and Centuar Tribe of Greenhoof. Because for the long time they spent together Wild Elves finally start have some faith in Lyons, and share their views. These wild elves consider themselves to be the true elves, and any other elf, especially from a city would be considered a very far distant cousin, not half worthy of a true elf. This would be the reason why relationship between Greenleaf Tribe and Myth Drannor were not great, because according to Wild Elves, other city elves seek to control the nature instead to accept the beauty of the wilds. Survivors of Greenleaf tribe, despite of their good nature in their hearts, can be easily provoked, are more primitive and savage comparing to other elves. To ensure that the tribe survives and and their tradition is carried on, the close cousins, wood elves and painted elves are allowed to join.
