Mission

House Moonlight Song is dedicated to promotion of faith in Eilistraee and unity of all races and individuals that have fallen to darkness, so that they can find their way back to light and live together in harmony without pointless conflicts and wars. Mistrust and prejudice are obstacle to be expected and the mission of the house is not to enforce belief against free will of others, but to prove them wrong and then let them forge their own path. The enemies of the house will be those who commit evil, and that includes acts against the House Moonlight Song itself.

 

History

House of Moonlight Song was founded in 1384 DR by Dark Elf priestess Nyra. The house integrated with Lyons because of their common goals and because Lyons have already harboring Eilistraeens for a decade prior to the official house founding. The first contact between Lyons and Eilistraeens was dark elf Jennifer ShadowKyss who has proven that Elistraee goddess is not a myth, by securing the survival of Greenleaf Tribe from extinction. Now Greenleaf Tribe and House Moonlight Song both contribute to aligned goals of Lyons, which makes them a separate branch of Lyons community that can enjoy the same benefits as all Lyons do. To become member of the house, individual must pass the test of faith first and foremost, and then interact with house members further.

Roles

• Dark Lady|Lord

This rank is head of the house, and is priestess|priest of Eilistraee. Through divine connection and study, they know the desire of Eilistraee most accurately and share such knowledge to others. Dark Lady also must know to perform the test of faith magic, so that the house is not infiltrated by those who wish to cast it down.
 

• Sword Dancer

The sword dancers assist, and protect any drow looking to return to the surface (or that could be made to return) and embrace a different life. They were skilled diplomats, especially active near the settlements of elves and other races, working to establish peace and cooperation between drow and surface dwellers. Sword dancers use the sword only when the dance fails to serve them.
 

• Silverhair Knight

The Silverhair Knights are completely dedicated to the redemption and subsequent protection of drow followers of Lolth, Vhaeraun, and other deities of the Dark Seldarine. They fully embraced the teaching of Eilistraee about showing mercy and compassion, and fought these dark elves only using non-lethal means, hoping to make them understand the error of their ways and choose a different life. Unlike the Sword Dancers who usually target surface communities in their missions, Sliverhair Knights often embarked on missions within Lolthite settlements and other Dark Seldarine communities, aiming to find and rescue drow who were in danger or seeking an alternative.

 

• Darksong Knight

The Darksong Knights devote their lives not only to furthering the Dark Maiden's goals, but also to the destruction demons and minions of Lolth, for they were the cause of the corruption and fall of the drow people in the first place. Where Sword Dancers and Silver Knights fail, Darksong Knight will not give evil a second chance. Darkson Knights are the first and last defense of the house and preservation of the Faith in Elistraee, because unfortunately the song can fall to deaf ears, and violence can be answered only with swift violence, thus quickly removing dangers and threats, so that the fewest might be hurt.

 

• Faithful of Eilistraee

The Faithful of Dark Maiden have passed test of the faith and are accepted into the house to live in harmony without any duties or obligation other than to help hunt for food and with cooking and gardening, something most natural a family member can do. These individuals are members of the house if they chose so, but as the lowest rank they are treated as inhabitants and thus do not receive benefits of Lyons membership, like all other roles do.
